The original mutant strain ∆Ip3r-∆Orai was generated by Konomi Fujimura-Kamada (Jun Minagawa Lab, National Institute for Basic Biology, Japan) by knocking-out Ip3r (Cre16.g665450) and Orai (Cre01.g025000) genes.
Then, ChR1 gene was knocked-out and a N258D point mutation was introduced in ChR2 gene using CRISPR/Cas9 system.
