Phenotype: deficient in osmoregulation
The osm19 mutant was obtained in 1999 by UV-mutagenesis of CC-1690 wild type mt+, backcrossed three times to wild type CC-1690 or CC-1691 and re-isolated. This strain should be maintained on TAP medium supplemented with 0.06M sucrose or lactose.
