CC-941 ery1a mt-

$30.00

From Maureen Hanson, University of Virginia, February 1980

Phenotype: antibiotic resistant (erythromycin)

The ery1a mutation was isolated in Bogorad’s laboratory in the 137c background, induced by mutagenesis with ethyl methanesulfonate.

The ery1 mutations were shown by Davidson et al. (1974) to alter a protein of the large subunit of the chloroplast ribosome, subsequently identified by Bowers et al. as the product of the RPL4 gene.
