CC-1815 rbcL (G171D) mt+ [Mets 10-6C]

$30.00

From Laurie Mets, April 1984, as III 130 10-6c; this is the original chloroplast Rubisco mutant 10-6C of Spreitzer and Mets.

Phenotype: requires acetate

This is a point mutation in the chloroplast rbcL gene (Gly to Asp at 171) that results in a Rubisco large subunit with altered isoelectric point.

This strain is light-sensitive and should be maintained in very dim light or in total darkness.
