Phenotype: impaired motility

The fla15 mutant was isolated by Piperno in the 137c background, after mutagenesis with nitrosoguanidine. It shows temperature-conditional flagellar assembly, and is defective in retrograde intraflagellar transport. Iomini et al. found that the mutation is a missense mutation in a conserved cysteine in the IFT144 gene.
