CC-4010 osm9 mt+

$30.00

From Peter Luykx, University of Miami, January 2004, his PL52

Phenotype: deficient in osmoregulation

The osm9 mutant was obtained in 1995 in the laboratory of Greg Pazour, by insertional mutagenesis of a nit1-305 strain originally derived from CC-2453, using a NIT1-containing plasmid pGP505, but the NIT phenotype does not cosegregate with the osm phenotype. Please see CC-4064 for another osm9 isolate that apparently lacks the NIT1 insertion. CC-4010 was obtained by backcrossing the original mutant three times to wild type CC-124 or CC-125 and re-isolating. This strain should be maintained on TAP medium supplemented with 0.06M sucrose or lactose.
