Cells are fussy, 2-4 hours in M-N/5 rocking in light seem to produce healthiest flagella, overnight in TAP rocking in light seems to produce an increase in the number of flagellated cells. Sensitive to concentration so use 2X the amount of media as normal for the volume of cells.
The phenotype is mostly paralyzed with some wiggling due to unknown mutation(s), the tagged d1blic gene rescues the stubby flagella phenotype and flagella are nearly full length
