CC-5598 amc1(2) mt+
$30.00
From Nitya Subrahmanian, Patrice P. Hamel lab, The Ohio State University, February 2020
Genotype: mt+; amc1-1
This strain is originally from Rosario Barbieri/Patrice P. Hamel (OSU) and is mitochondrial complex I-deficient. Genomic DNA from chromosome 17 disrupts Cre16.g688900 in exon 2. It is a cross of amc1(4C10) with CC-124 resulting in meiotic progeny that is arg+ and hygromycin sensitive.
This strain should be maintained in low-medium light conditions (max. 50 µmol.m-2.s-1). Do not maintain in the dark as it is respiratory-deficient. This strain is hygromycin sensitive and an arginine prototroph.
