CC-5599 amc1(27) mt-

$30.00

From Nitya Subrahmanian, Patrice P. Hamel lab, The Ohio State University, February 2020

Genotype: mt-; arg7-8; amc1-1

This strain is originally from Rosario Barbieri/Patrice P. Hamel (OSU) and is a cross of amc1(4C10) with 4C- resulting in meiotic progeny that is arg- and hygromycin sensitive. Genomic DNA from chromosome 17 disrupts Cre16.g688900 in exon 2. APHVII transgene present in an unknown location. Originally isolated as a mitochondrial complex I-deficient strain but now the phenotype has reverted.

This strain should be maintained in low-medium light conditions (max. 50 µmol.m-2.s-1) and media should contain arginine. Do not maintain in the dark as it is respiratory-deficient. This strain is hygromycin sensitive.
